Large Native American Crowd Expected For Tonight's Louisville Women's Basketball Game

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The biggest game of the year for the Louisville women's basketball team will have the most diverse crowd of the year.

Over 1,500 Native Americans, some from as far away as Alaska, will be at tonight's women's basketball game against UConn. The game will be senior night for Shoni Schimmel, who is a member of Umatilla tribe.

One group of 60 from Oklahoma says Shoni and her sister Jude are role models for Native Americans and says they have traveled to U of L road games to cheer the team on.

Tonight's game tips off at 7 and is also Native American Appreciation Night.
